If the page seems bare, bear with me; its new and I’m not familiar with adding trinkets, let alone neon lights …to anything ! Welcome to my ‘show’… of sorts. Everyone has an opinion which is either readily provoked and then expounded in the belief that what we have said is somehow uniquely insightful. Either that or the belief that what is said will fit into the camp of those who pretend not to care in the name of being ‘laid-back’ or 'open-minded'; a viewpoint I often think or more pertinently, muse, may well be undermined with a gun to the head upon hearing the words “pick a stance, any stance, although it’d better be the right stance” whispered into the ‘indifferent’s ear !

Despite the likelihood that social protocol will prevent all but the most ill-bred among us from publicly smashing the differing views of others down to the ground with wanton abandon, we will nonetheless secretly hold our own view(s) as the most valid, or pretend not to with a thin veil of faux-humility and tolerance. Sadly I am no different.

I now find myself joining the ‘blogoshpere’, knowing full well that my musings are indeed random, knowing all too well that my already established penchant for rambling lends itself to criticism from all quarters, most notably from those to whom I am closest. I apologise, but some things need to be said and said with gusto and a little 'swagger' (all the rage !).

Complaining, praising, berating (obviously in a fully justified and subtle manner !), loving, edifying, inspiring and hopefully amusing are some of the things I hope to do with largesse, things which I will share with all who make visits here. Thanks for reading thus far. Stick with it !

You see, I harbour lofty ambitions, underscored by lofty mistakes (committed on a daily basis!) and opinions on pretty much everything. The contradictions that make up this * heterosexual narcissist ‘in recovery’ with a penchant for shoes, fine cloth and egg-nog with a tad too much rum, will doubtless be laid bare as I honestly attempt to square everything from my profound love of Jesus Christ to my genuine fascination with actual ladies (not just those 'so-called').

Please do not mistake my thoughts and mistakes (grammatical and otherwise!) as purposefully controversial, or a basis on which I’ve formed a deep-seated cry for help; more an acceptance of my innate fallibilities, flaws to which we are all obviously prone (once we no longer self-delude), which is in turn is driven by a belated attempt at real honesty and a love of observations on this whole ‘life' thing.

I was going to, but I thought "naaah, I ain't gonna...." sorry... "I am not going to ‘dumb down’" and on that note, I can only really quote Mr. Shakespeare and remind us that "All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts”… ACTION !

* I will try to limit references to myself in the third person as it can be more than irritating.
